DESCRIPTION:**Class will be held on Thursday nights from Jan 21 – Mar 12 from 5-7pm** \n\n\n\nInstructor: Dr. Angela Melde \n\n\n\nThis course welcomes students of all experience levels—from complete beginners to those with prior oil painting practice. Through guided instruction\, students will explore a variety of paint application techniques and color mixing theories\, building a strong foundation for creating expressive and high-quality artwork. \n\n\n\nParticipants will receive hands-on training in multiple genres\, including landscapes\, portraits\, and still life. Class exercises are designed to encourage creativity and experimentation\, helping each student discover and develop their unique artistic direction and personal style. \n\n\n\nPlease see the supply list below for required materials. Oil painting kits are available for purchase at the TC Bookstore or you can purchase items on Amazon. Under the guidance of expert blacksmith Jerome LeGrand\, participants will learn essential skills such as heating\, drawing out\, bending\, and riveting steel. By the end of the class\, each student will create a functional pair of blacksmith tongs—a tool every blacksmith needs and a perfect keepsake from your day at the forge.
