Canva for Accessibility – Zoom Session

April 11 @ 9:30 am 11:30 am

Instructor: Dori Ballard

Canva for Accessibility is a live, interactive Zoom course designed to help communicators, content creators, and public sector professionals use Canva to create ADA-accessible digital content that complies with the new federal accessibility requirements for public entities’ web and social media content.

Participants will learn how to apply accessibility best practices in Canva—including adding meaningful alternative text (alt text), ensuring proper color contrast and readable font choices, captioning media, structuring content accessibly, and designing social media graphics that conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Level AA standard now required under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

This course is ideal for public school and college communicators, government employees, and anyone responsible for creating accessible content for public audiences.

Please keep in mind that this is an online Zoom class. You’ll need a Zoom account to join. We’ll send the Zoom link to you before the class starts.
Please note that this class will not be held on campus.
