Parent Education Seminar for Divorcing Couples
Course Overview:
This four-hour seminar will be held on the campus of Texarkana College. Let’s Talk About Kids is being conducted to provide information to families and children who are affected by divorce. The seminar is open to all persons concerned with family separation. Attendance is mandated for divorcing parents by the Bowie County District Courts.
Seminar Goals:
- Discussion of expected behavioral changes in children.
- Exploration of how losses connected to divorce affect families and children.
- Review of alternatives to “Children in the Middle”
- Presentation tools and solutions.
Meet the Group Facilitator:
Luretha Loudermill is a licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Counseling/Psychology from Texas A&M University- Texarkana. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Texarkana College and provides counseling services in the areas of education, career, and personal issues.
Mrs. Loudermill provides compassionate and professional mental health services. In addition, she collaborates with courts across the tri-state area on custody-related matters, offering expert evaluations and guidance to support families and legal professionals.
Thursday Classes: Registration closes at 12:00 PM on the day of class. NO WALK-IN REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Saturday Classes: Registration closes at 12:00 pm on the Friday before class. NO WALK-IN REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
