Canva is a FREE user-friendly platform used to create social media graphics, presentations, posters, flyers, invitations, and numerous other visual content. Participants will learn how to create holiday designs with step-by-step instruction and assistance. Instructor: Madeleine Russell.

This course will teach the basics of pickleball. The student will learn the equipment, court and rules of the game. The student will also participate in drills practice designed to learn or enhance the student’s skill level. There are some differences between singles and doubles play; therefore, the student will experience both throughout the course.

Ready to make some dough-licious pizza? Chef Tyler is a master pizzaiola and he, along with Chef Donna, will instruct you in the art of pizza-making from dough to marinara and more! The goal is for you everyone to make two nice medium sized pizzas. We will provide the basic toppings. If you want different ones than what we have listed, please feel free to bring your own. This 3-hour course offered over two evenings picks up where UKE 101-From zero to hero leaves off and is based on Bogart and Peters’ 21 Easy Songs for Christmas. Students will learn additional chords, strumming patterns, and percussive techniques. You will learn loads of new songs, literally, barrels of Christmas carols. Not many ways to have much more fun than this! It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got four strings. Just bring yourself, your uke, your binder from Uke 101, and a tuner. Can you feel the love tonight? The song says it is where you are—but only if you are with us learning some great Disney tunes! This one-hour class is for ages 10 and up who have completed uke 101 or have experience with basic uke chords This class is for ages 10 and up. Just bring yourself, your uke, and a tuner. This class, adapted from Bogart and Peters’ 21 Songs in 6 Days: Learn Ukulele the Easy Way, will take novice students through the history and anatomy of the ukulele and includes how to buy a uke, holding, strumming, tuning, singing along, and chords C, Am, F, G7, C7. You will have all the tools to play dozens of songs after this 3-hour session! Playing the ukulele is easy, fun, and addictive! This class is appropriate for age levels 10-100 and is guaranteed to make you smile! You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy a ukulele. That’s pretty close! A binder with PowerPoint slides, handouts, and our songbook, as well as snacks and a light lunch, are included. Just bring yourself, your uke, and your tuner. In the Texarkana College Community Music School, professional teachers from the community offer the highest level of instruction to students of all ages. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to perform in recitals. Lessons are given each week. Tuition is due before your first class of the month.
