Food Preservation-Canning 101

Ever wanted to learn how to preserve fruits and vegetables? Whether from your own garden or from the local Farmer’s Market, we will show you the basics of canning fruits and vegetables. Learn the basic, and most up to date techniques needed to preserve fruits & vegetables, so you can turn them into wonderful jams, jellies, preserves, butters, salsas, relishes, pickles, and side dishes that even Grandma would be proud of. Includes demonstrations of how to use both the pressure canner and the water bath canner. We will be canning salsa (water bath) and dried beans (pressure canner).
Bring paper and pencil/pen, and if you have it a Ball Canning guide that is not more than 5 years old.
