Handles & Guards – Fall 2026

This hands-on course covers detailed techniques for crafting and finishing knife handles, including both full-tang and hidden tang styles. Students will explore the art of guards, butt caps, decorative file work, spiral dagger handles, silver inlay, and blade finishing.
What to Bring: Please bring one full-tang blade ready for fitting. A hidden tang blade will be provided, and if time allows, students may begin working on an additional blade in the shop.

This course is subject to cancellation due to low enrollment. In the event of cancellation, students will receive a full refund and will be notified promptly so they can make any necessary adjustments to travel or lodging plans.
If you need to withdraw, requests submitted at least 21 business days prior to the first class meeting are eligible for a full refund. Requests received after that timeframe are not guaranteed a refund, but we will do our best to fill the spot. If the spot is filled, a refund may be issued. Please allow 7–10 business days for processing.
