Spring Pickleball League

Hey, Pickleballers! Looking for a fun and competitive way to spend your Friday nights? You’ve come to the right place! Join us for the Spring Pickleball League happening at Texarkana College.

We will host 8 mixed doubles teams, so be sure to register with a partner — and don’t wait, because spots will fill up fast!

🗓 League Dates:
March 27, 2026 – April 24, 2026 (5 weeks)
Friday Nights | 5:30 PM – 8:15 PM

🎾 League Format:

  • Weeks 1–4: Round-robin play to 11 points
    • Each team plays 7 competitive games every week!
  • Week 5: Playoffs
    • Top 6 teams advance
    • Top 2 teams receive a first-round bye
    • Playoff matches are best 2 out of 3

This beginner‑friendly course is perfect for anyone who wants to feel more confident using a computer. Students will learn the basics, including using a mouse and keyboard, understanding the desktop, opening programs, and working with files and folders.

We’ll also cover essential everyday skills such as browsing the internet, using email, typing and formatting documents, and staying safe online. Optional topics—like spreadsheets, cloud storage, and smartphone basics—may be included if time allows.

Sewing Something More! 🧵

In this class, we’ll build on the basics of sewing while creating fun, practical projects! Students will make pajama bottoms, envelope‑style pillow covers, snack mats, and zipper pouches.

A basic understanding of sewing is required, along with access to a full‑size sewing machine.Texarkana College also has two sewing machines available to borrow if needed—just let us know ahead of time!

Aviation Professional Sales Certificate Program

AvSales Talent’s Aviation Sales Certificate Program trains professionals for high-commission careers across business aviation sales sectors. Students learn HNW client psychology, consultative sales frameworks, deal structuring, negotiation tactics, and market analysis through live simulations with active aviation sales professionals.

Training covers multiple aviation sales verticals: jet brokerage, charter sales, parts distribution, FBO services, media/advertising sales, and aviation technology platforms. Curriculum emphasizes real transaction scenarios, buyer qualification systems, and revenue-generating activities that work across all aviation sales channels.

Class will be held once a week and time will be determined after the first class.

Upon Completion

  • Certificate from Texarkana College and AvSales Talent
  • Consideration for application to AvSales Talent full training program (including direct placement with partner companies brokerages, charter operators, parts suppliers, aviation media firms upon completion of full coaching program)

Spring Buttercream Cookie Decorating🐣

Instructor: Ashley Weems

Come join us for a sweet and creative experience led by our very own Instructor of Culinary Arts here at Texarkana College – Ashley Weems!

Each student will receive six pre‑baked sugar cookies and learn how to mix their own icing colors, make buttercream, fill piping bags, and decorate step‑by‑step.

Students will take home a box of their beautifully decorated cookies along with their apron. Designs for this class include adorable spring‑themed creations (pictured here!).
