Kids will measure, sand, nail, and assemble their very own outdoor birdhouse.
Once built, they’ll paint and decorate it with holiday cheer, creating a cozy home for feathered friends all winter long.
$50 – Session 2: Construct & Play – Shut the Box Board Game
December 22, 1:00-5:00
Kids will construct a classic tabletop math game—Shut the Box—from wood.
Using hammers, sanders, and paint, they’ll assemble and personalize their game board. Once complete, the fun continues as they learn to play, keeping those math minds sharp while enjoying friendly competition.
Tools & Skills
Participants will safely use power tools, hammers, sanders, and paint under close supervision. They’ll gain confidence in woodworking, practice problem-solving, and express creativity while making keepsakes they can proudly take home. Santa’s Workshop is more than a class—it’s an unforgettable experience where kids become makers, creators, and inventors. They’ll leave with a handcrafted treasure, new skills, and plenty of holiday spirit!

Certified Nurse Aide – Skills & Clinical Training (HHS-Approved)
This course is designed for individuals seeking to complete the skills and clinical components of the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) training program, as required by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). It is ideal for students who have already completed the required theory portion or HHSC’s 60-hour online training and now need hands-on experience to qualify for the state certification exam.
Course Overview:
Skills Training check off: in-person instruction focused on essential nurse aide skills such as personal care, basic nursing procedures, infection control, safety and emergency protocols, and communication techniques.
Clinical Experience: 44 hours of supervised clinical practice in a long-term care facility, providing direct patient care under the guidance of licensed professionals.
Program Highlights:
Fulfills HHSC requirements for NATCEP (Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program)
Prepares students for the Texas CNA certification exam
Includes skill validation and real-world clinical experience
Must complete HHSC’s free 60-hour Computer-Based Training prior to enrollment

Outcome: Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to sit for the Texas CNA certification exam and pursue employment in long-term care facilities, hospitals, or home health agencies.

Together you’ll learn the professional techniques behind creating stunning hand dipped strawberries using silky almond bark and vibrant pink and red candy melts. Under gentle instruction you’ll melt, drizzle and decorate your own strawberries with toasted pecans, coconut flakes and sparkling heart sprinkles; mastering chocolate dipping and popping methods along the way.
Once your creations are complete, you’ll wrap your trays in clear film and finish them with red and white ribbon — ready to take home or gift to someone special!
Each participant will enjoy a relaxed romantic atmosphere with step-by-step guidance — perfect for beginners or couples looking for a memorable evening together. You will also receive: a stainless steel tray in apron to keep as mementos.
All ingredients and decorating tools will be provided including: bowls, piping bags, spoons, gloves and parchment. Complimentary water and soda provided.
