This course welcomes students of all experience levels—from complete beginners to those with prior oil painting practice. Through guided instruction, students will explore a variety of paint application techniques and color mixing theories, building a strong foundation for creating expressive and high-quality artwork.
Participants will receive hands-on training in multiple genres, including landscapes, portraits, and still life. Class exercises are designed to encourage creativity and experimentation, helping each student discover and develop their unique artistic direction and personal style.
Please see the supply list below for required materials. Oil painting kits are available for purchase at the TC Bookstore or you can purchase items on Amazon. The bookstore is located in the Truman Arnold Student Center on campus and operates during the following hours:

Step into the forge and experience the timeless craft of blacksmithing! This hands-on workshop introduces students to the traditional techniques of shaping metal with fire, hammer, and anvil. Under the guidance of expert blacksmith Jerome LeGrand, participants will learn essential skills such as heating, drawing out, bending, and riveting steel. By the end of the class, each student will create a functional pair of blacksmith tongs—a tool every blacksmith needs and a perfect keepsake from your day at the forge. Discover the artistry and strength behind one of the oldest trades in history. Whether you’re a beginner or simply curious, this class offers a unique opportunity to learn a skill that has stood the test of time.

Certified Nurse Aide – Skills & Clinical Training (HHS-Approved)
This course is designed for individuals seeking to complete the skills and clinical components of the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) training program, as required by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). It is ideal for students who have already completed the required theory portion or HHSC’s 60-hour online training and now need hands-on experience to qualify for the state certification exam.

You will receive disciplined, focused, real-world training from instructors with a combined 50 plus years in Martial Arts. The physical benefits of our class are profound; as students learn martial arts, they will also improve cardio, strength and flexibility. Confidence in oneself and abilities are gained through training. We also have leadership with additional black belts and instructors in Boxing, Kickboxing, Taekwondo, Shaolin Kenpo, & Sil Lum Kung Fu to add additional depth to your training.
